Farmer Wants A Wife recap

I never got around to blogging anything about this when it finished and I know I'm really pitiful but I just had to do this. :)

Firstly, if you couldn't watch this series and want to see some (or lots) of it, click here. At the time I looked, the first video clip in the list was the entire section about my neighbour from the finale. So if that was your only interest, find the clip titled "Farmer Finale: Farmer Rob Finds A Wife". It's so cute. :)

Secondly, it's coming again next year, yay! I clicked on the logo that I blogged previously and got a surprise to find the round-up for next year's farmers has begun. I never knew exactly how they went about it and now I do. Most interesting! I'm betting that, like this past season, next season will begin with a wedding and I'm reckoning it will be Rob and Jo. :)

And while I'm here being pitiful, I might as well tell you my opinion of the finale outcomes...

1. Rob and Jo--bring it on and go guys! So happy about this. Everybody could see it from week one and I just loved watching them. Now I'm just waiting to hear an engagement announcement! :)

2. Farmer James--oh.my.gosh. He really needs some help if he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life single. Don't even get me started on this one...

3. Farmer Howie--I'm still a little puzzled as to why he didn't pick the Tamworth girl in the early days but whatever. I take my hat off to him for being brave enough to rock up at the finale without a girl. Neither James nor Michael should have had a girl with them since both "couples" said they weren't a couple but only Howie was brave enough to actually walk in alone.

4. Farmer Ben--he came really close to totally stuffing it up but I'm glad that Emma backed out and that Sarah wouldn't give him an answer until he took the risk of rocking up at her door on national tv and facing possible rejection. Since he did, I'm glad she said yes! I think they're a good couple.

5. Farmer Michael--poor guy. They were so harsh on him about "turning his back on a chance for love". For goodness sakes, the guy was worried about losing his farm. We're talking reality here!!! Plus, he's still young and has plenty of time. I couldn't believe that Simone turned the tables on him in the end. She should've let him know before it ever got to that point if she didn't want a long distance relationship.

6. Farmer Nick--when he turned around and picked Kristy on the last week after everybody thought Steph had it made, we thought he had rocks in his head!! However, when they walked in together, it was like they'd both grown up overnight. Thinking back on it, Steph had instigated most of the relationship indicators and he just didn't fight. You could see with Kristy, though, that he'd fully gone with what he wanted and Kristy had some interesting things to say about why she was "in the game". I hate to think what Steph would have been like when she found out!

So there you have it: my pitifulness in all it's glory. I'm sorry. :P It is my only tv vice though and it only happens once a year. :)

Okay, this must be an Aussie thing. The "Farmer Wants a Wife" reality show here in the states was a bomb, I think (hope) it won't be repeated. :)

sad i know ... but i did sorta kinda watch a bit of that show! ... I promise it was all from mum's nagging haha! ... Sarah (the nanny?!) was definately my fav on the show. And glad things worked out for your neighbour guy, although pretty sure his house is gonna be pretty noisy now! ;b ... mmm... enough procrastinating back to study!

I had so much fun watching this show! For what its worth, here is my take on it all:

1.Farmer Rob was by far my favorite and I'd picked Jo for him from the first speed date (is that what it was called??) - I was so glad they ended up together, and they seemed so cute. So, do you have any updates? Does she come to the farm? I read somewhere that he had moved to Melbourne to be with her...

2.Farmer James?? Hmm, well that was quite unfortunate, hey? I felt so sorry for Toni but also wanted to shake her. At one point she was asked if she saw a future between them and she said something like "well that is up to him"!!! Grr! No, actually its up to you...you DON'T want to be with somebody who will treat you that way....its not HIS choice!

3.I thought Howie would have done better with the Tamworth girl too.

4. Ben, I think he failed the "test". I think Emma would definitely have gone for him but she needed him to take a stand (like Rob did) and be more open about his interest in her instead of trying to please Sarah too. Emma seemed to want him to be full-on about her and I can understand that! I hope things go well with him and Sarah though.

5. Michael, I thought he seemed a little young for the whole thing. I agree that Simone should have been more open.

6. Nick - I'm a bit cynical and frankly wondered if Kristy was more on the show to get some free advertising as a model rather than to find a husband. I think Nick got kind of scared off by Steph, she was a little aggressive I thought.
So am I pitiful too???! :)

no clue about the show, but it cracks me up that you were this into it. haha. i have only one show that i get that INTO. the new season started last monday, and steve makes fun of me for dropping everything to glue myself to the tv screen. it's drama filled, and goodness knows he hates drama, so he thinks i'm crazy for even wanting to watch it. hehe. :) i just might be, ya know! glad you have a tv vice. everybody needs at least one! ;)

Exactly how we feel about American Idol here in the states! By the way, I'm feeling very international and all saying "in the states." When I got your email, I told my husband "I'm sending email to AUSTRALIA--for FREE!"

I'm still praying...
